Working Session 4

The Art of Dealing with Art

The Private Client Commission’s focus this year will be cultural property and the art market, which has grown at an extraordinarily fast pace in recent years. This growing market has led to a growing need for legal advice. The Private Client session will consider the issues which arise in connection with the ownership and acquisition of artworks (including cultural heritage schemes and the recovery of stolen art), as well as succession planning. The session will take place in a fantastic setting: the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square, which houses one of the greatest collections of paintings in the world. The session will feature experts with a diverse range of experience in the field of art and antiquities, and will offer unique and exciting opportunities for discussion.
