Working Session 5

The Pursuit of the Company’s Interests over the Life of a Company

The expectation of the owners, other stakeholders (employees, creditors, etc.) and the public change throughout a company’s life cycle. As a consequence, the pursuit of the company’s interests raises different issues and considerations at different points in time (e.g., taking on board equity investors at an early stage, “considering” employees in an IPO process, liaising with financing resources, responding to (defending against) tender offers once public).
